Porsche 914 Green Oil Light

About a day from home one morning the green oil sensor light didn't light at start up I'm struggling to workout what is wrong. I've changed the bulb with the red one and it's not the bulb. I've changed the bulb holder with the red one and not that either. The spade connectors were a bit dirty and I cleaned. I have a red/light wire coming from the red light and supply volts. I have the green/red wire which connects to the sensor. I have a light pen. If I connect it to earth I have a light on both sides of the green bulb. Which is very strange because it means the current is following through the bulb? If connect my light to the red/white (in) wire and to the green/red (sensor wire) it lights green! It's very strange the light isn't coming on? I can only guess my light pen requires less current than the 2w bulb so I'm going to change the spade connectors. Any other ideas?

Just occurred to me that maybe the sensor has failed and isnt earthing at low pressure

If you pull the wire off the sender and ground it the light should go on.

Ignition on probably.

Thank you Sam. I tried to do that with the light pen but it didn't work. I just did directly now and the light came on so sender ordered
