Witches brews for cleaning inside of screens?

I have 4 road cars to look after, the daily driver is the Skoda superb and the less so 911 in the garage.
All the cars have annoying build-up of crud inside the wind screen of course, and over the many many years have tried this n that but few seem to clean the crud off.
They either smear it or encapsulate it layer by layer. Tried the water/vinegar mix (about 30:1) and this still leaves the witness marks of the SatNav sucker on the screens...

Today attacked the Skodas and the 911 with the water vinegar mix, rubbed on hard with a clean saturated micro fibre cloth.
Wait a minute and wipe off with dry new kitchen paper towel and a clean dry micro fibre cloth. Still not convinced, but will see when i next drive in strong sun like todays.

In the past have used Autoglym Fast Glass, but I think this does not strip the crud off, could be wrong.

Anyone on here with better solutions please?

Windolene cream is my fave. I’ve never been happy with any wet products on windows, dry polish works best I reckon.

Ah, have some panel cleaner, so will try that on the Boxster.

Diluted fairy liquid on a kitchen towel. Scrub the screen with it and then wipe off with fresh dry kitchen towels or a microfibre cloth.

Always used to rate Auto Glym glass polish. Nothing else seems to come close. Agree with Sam for the most part, although I Rain-X the bejeezus out of the outside glass on everything I own.

If I mix a tea spoon of all these chemicals, it is bound to work!
I've tried Autogylmn glass polish on the 911 and it is good, but does it simply apply a coat over the rubbish or actually remove it?

Acid test is if the inside surface readily mists up.

Going to do the Boxster today as the sun is strong so smears all stand out.

Fact that the sat nav sucker marks still are there might be the factor as to what really removes the rubbish.

Boxster screen was evil, so wiped over on clean kitchen paper towel the panel wipe. Smeared all over the surface.
Then the alcohol I use to clean the mating surfaces on engines for the gaskets, smeared, but less so.
Wiped the screen with a big microfibre towel.

Sprayed Fast Glass on, wipe off with the same towel and repeat.
Surface has lost the smears, so could be clean. Will find out on the road tomorrow.

Tried 911GP’s Fairy liquid method on two cars this afternoon and first look says it’s 95% removed the dirt. It needs a lot of wiping afterwards and I think I’ll wipe over the screens again tomorrow

Fairy Liquid neat, wiped on the inside of bike visors, rubbed around until it all rubs off clear, also stops them steaming up.

Saw this 'top tip' in a Practical Classics article on using clay bars on bodywork: "When the clay bar becomes discoloured, don't use it on your paint, but you could still use it for other jobs. Claying glass, for example, is a great way to deep clean it."

Interesting!
Boxster screen not too bad in today's strong sun, but not smear free.
Have a virgin clay bar...

Might be worth using a tiny bit in the worst corner then!
