Bonnet springs adjustment
Hi, my bonnet sits about halfway up with the springs in the middle notch, so I'm thinking to move them to the forward notch. What is the recommended method to do this as the springs are really hard to extend. I see a stop pin on the hinges, so do I slide this out to allow the bonnet to open more than normal to remove the spring tension and allow the springs to engage the forward notch, then slide the stop pins back in, cheers

Re: Bonnet springs adjustment
I need to do this myself but to replace the springs (914rubber do them).
There was seemingly a tool to do this but i'll probably have to make it.

I've seen all sort of random ideas how to do this but leverage (like the above) seems the best option as its more controllable (than holding onto a bit of wire)
