Mike,the paint will work on any surface .As with any finish, quality depends on substrate preparation.I prepare myself,they just refinish.They refinish huge plastic statues etc,for shop fittings and the like Plus car stuff.Be warned long wait times,and completely disorganised and apathetic communications.Both light units cost about £150.However,price seems to depend on attitude and general mood of the boss!

I did that (spray the edges of the rear lenses) ~ 20+ years ago on my '69 911E.

It turned out OK - better than before doing it anyway - I'm afraid that this is the only (relatively) close-up picture I have though ...
