Inner wings, in the RH wheel arch, quite a bit worse than I expected in an isolated area. This was covered by original underseal on the outside and original bitumen-type sound deadener on the inside, neither of which were removed before Enviro Strip, so this bit of rot was hidden until now.

(LH similar but much smaller area of rot).





That's about it for rust. Slightly worse than I'd hoped, but not terrible.

That is basically a mint condition shell in my book.

Wider market for parts, inc 3rd party panels, appears to have inflated rather more.

Most of the words (and all of the useful ones) for a while now will be Barry's. He shall be italicised.

To start with, method of removing fasteners: weld a nut over the broken bit, thermal shock tends to free most things even if it takes a few goes. removed the seat-belt bolt in same way.

Floors now all straight other than under the centre-tunnel, which we'll do when on the spit.

These are the original floors. Lovely. This kind of luck will not last...
