Was over with Margaret (kitten1) last night helping to get her 911 started, and of course we failed. We checked that we had a spark but I doubt we are getting enough fuel. When the ignition is switched on, you can hear the fuel pump whine (coming from the front), but unlike my fuel pump you don't hear a change in the pitch as the fuel pressure increases. I have a combined fuel regulator/filter so I'm not sure what the fuel filter bulb should look like when the pump is running. Below is a short video of the filter just as the ignition is turned on. Does this look right (if anything the level decreases!)? If not what do you think could be the problem.
BTW we also checked we had fuel in the tank!

Re: Kit will not start :( Fuel issue?
You need to take the fuel lines off at carbs and check wether is getting through to them?
You’ll require a container to collect fuel! Is there a pressure Reg and pressure gauge on car? You'll need 3.5/4psi dropping to 3psi when running.
Once you establish fuel to carb ok then it’s check electrics, connectors, leads, plug condition/gaps etc presuming that no crap has got into carbs from tank.
Presume no smell of petrol in or around car so lines aren’t leaking etc?

Re: Kit will not start [emoji20] Fuel issue?
Drop a small qty of fresh fuel into each carb throat to make sure it’s a fuel issue. All else is good it should run for a short while.

Re: Kit will not start :( Fuel issue?
Thanks for the advice Raymond and Tim. Turned out the Margaret (I'm blaming her!) had set incorrect gaps in the spark plugs
All good now and Kit will be seen at a hill climb near you soon!

Wow, how incorrect were they?
