Rear LED light upgrade fail (993)

After reading the other thread I thought it would be a good idea to upgrade the rear brakes lights on the 993 to LED’s. Failed
When you put one in with the old bulb in the other with the lights on, works fine. When you put both LED’s in with the lights on, nothing. Spoke to the lad at ClassicLED and he says because they use such low current they take the easiest path of resistance. He said check the terminals and test with a multimeter. It was at this point I realised I ain’t got a clue what you are saying.
Cleaned the terminals but still no success.
Anybody got a ABC guide of what to do
