hi all and new here , just got myself a 914 1972 car , been upgraded to a 20 / 4 running 2 single carbs , i have a 997 but i have always wanted a 914

after some things for it as i rebuild and help

one thing is is there any sound deadening in the floor before i lay new carpets , as there wasn't any originally, but the the carpets were home made , i am also after an exhaust that kind of exits like a GT3 or similar with the 2 pipes in the centre , i realise i prob have to cut the valnce , however do all the exhausts fit each other?

Welcome. Soundproofing? Use Dynamat or similar. Dansk does a two-pipe center exit exhaust, as does Vintage Speed.

Im also in Leeds but moving out to Hornsea on the East coast soon and have a 1975 914 1.8 as well as a 996

Tony, if you are free tonight, both TIPEC and PCGB Yorks are meeting at the Motorist in Sherburn and Elmet if you fancy it. We (TIPEC) will be there from 6-6.30, I think PCGB say 7.30. Although given it gets dark around 8pm not sure on that. Either way there will be lots of Porsches to look at.
