I am at a stage where the new deser seats are going into the car , im not near the car at the moment but would anyone know what size the allen bolts are that fix the runners to the car ? think they may be M8 x 20 ?

And also whailst I am here which bolts are needed for the seatbelts to be attached to the seat rails, seem to remeber these are an odd thread ?

Thanks

Latest photo of the ongoing project !!

I decided after thinking about finishing the project to get a few bits done ... and got carried away !!

No had new suspension, new carpets, more servicing, exhaust sorted and new Deser interior !!!

I must be mad !!

Yes, M6 x 20 but on my 73 the heads are very shallow so the runners etc can pass over the fixing points.
The seat belt anchor bolts will be that very fine thread, size of which escapes me but the parts should be free to self align when the bolts and the sleeves and anti rattle washers are in place..

The standard (universal) seatbelt/harness mounting thread is 7/16 UNF ...

And do not be tempted to use longer ones as they will contact the fuel line in the tunnel and damage it.

Bitter experience talking here…

I have a bag with a collection of longer and shorter ones. Thanks for the heads up, I must remember to use the short ones in the tunnel.
