Back in May 2014 which seems a long time ago I took the plunge and bought my dream car a 1970 911T which came from California from the it’s last residence of Pacific Coast, the colour is burgundy red and seemed like a pretty much unloved car that had been sat in garage since the late 90’s.I had many Aircooled VW’s before and had often seen the odd early 911 turn up at a VW show and always loved the sound of the flat 6 engine and thought one day I’ll get one,the car arrived from the docks and was in running and driving condition as the previous owner has recommissioned it before selling it,I was stocked and still am,so after going through a few things like changing the headlights it went through an MOT and had it registered to which I drove it about for a few years with plans to do some work as and when I had the money spare, turns out there were a few holes in the drivers side sill which resulted in an outer sill panel, kidney bowl panel and lower A post repair, the inner sill was amazingly solid and was blasted, the work was carried out by the talented Trailer Queen Restoration’s in Bude Cornwall, Fast forward a couple years and the car retuned to them as I had noticed a hole in the battery box, also on the drivers side which in turn spiralled to the front valance and front wing repairs and more, awesome job done too

Excellent. Always a pleasure to carry another rest thread on the forum.

And Trailer Queen turn out some very high quality VWs so will be interested to see progress.

They've done such a nice job of that front repair I almost wish mine was more rusty.

.

Lovely colour - Burgundy really suits an early 911. 8)

Great choice of tyre too (CR6ZZ) ...
