1985 3.2 and E10 conversion?

So difficult to get some facts, so asking here.
I have a standard 3.2 from 1985 in my 73T 911.
It's been in here since 1995 and run on Shell 97/99 octane.
It runs fabulously in every respect, and has never been apart; current miles 130K I think, possibly 140K, stock DME.

Fuel lines are 3.2 Porsche parts, new in 1995, fuel pump is a 964 part. None of these pipes have been changed in 26 years and are sound.

Shell will soon have ethanol in their 99 octane fuels, might have already, maybe for many year for all I know, so ethanol could be corroding the fuel system, esp the high pressure side.

Come the day when it might spring a leak it is bound to happen at a bad time, failures always do, so what is the remedy?

I see high pressure (6 bar) flex tube is now available so that could be used but will require the correct 'Otika' clips which I have used but only on carb engines.
Is DIY a reliable method?
Fuel pumps: what could be used that will match the 3.2 system for pressure and flow rate?

I have started to use Esso ethanol free fuel recently, but this will also get ethanol soon I feel.

Anyone else trying to find out how to fix our cars before the failures start?

Snake oil, or does it have benefits, there seems to be enough of this sort of product springing up on the market?

Interesting potion.
Would it be ok in a Porsche engine...

I have been using the Millers equivalent for a while in the 912 and 911 - whether it is working or not is another issue.

At the price ( it costs around 20p/litre to treat your fuel) it is cheaper to use Esso Synergy Supreme+ 99. According to Esso there are no plans to add ethanol to this where I live ( although they list some regions in the UK where they already do ).

I'm planning on using Esso Synergy Supreme+ 99 the next time I fill up to see how the cars react.

There seems a lot of people saying that their mpg drops by up to 10% when using E10 - if that's the case then it isn't solving any problems, just creating them!

I have used a tank full recently, and it is full again for the runs to Oulton Park.
I really cannot see any difference to the Shell 99 octane I've used for many years inc consumption Andrew.

My real concern is the effect on the fuel system in the car, pipes and seals etc as to re-plumb will be a major task to do safely.
I want to know what is available and be aware of what is required should the car have an issue.

The thought of a car fire is really a worry.
