944 Turbo

Post by sng45 »

Just bought this, a bit of an accident as I expected to be outbid, but pleased I got it.

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/199 ... -944-turbo

I used to own a 944 2.7 and a 924 Carrera GT but I've never driven a Turbo. Looking forward to collecting it next week

Looks like a nice motor!

I'm sure you're aware of it but there's a great resource for all things 944 at Clark's Garage and the manuals are also all available online.

It’s been 18 months. £5 says he’ll have long since sold it on by now…

I think you know me too well ! - you should have been more confident and bet five grand ! - I sold the 944 last year, enjoyed it for the few months I owned it and now I'm trying to get down to a number of cars that I actually use occasionally ! ( first world problems )
I'm in the process of getting divorced so sold the house and moved to an apartment in a country manor house, I only have parking and one garage, but retained my storage facility for a dozen cars about ten miles away, just need to decide what to sell,( for convenience rather than necessity ) - just debating selling my , Caterham HPC, 240Z, Alfa Guilia, Smart Brabus roadster, Alfa SZ Zagato, and maybe my Lotus Elise, I know the values of them all will go through the roof as soon as I sell them because that always happens !

You’re my car buying / selling hero. I’d love to switch around as much as you do.

Sorry to hear of the separation after what you’ve been through. Onwards and upwards!

PM me a price on that Smart. I liked the sound of that when we we discussed it a while back.

Likewise. Sorry to hear about the separation. I know (having been there a a few times) how it sucks but also how the other side can shine

Thanks very much for your kind comments, it certainly makes life interesting when you think you've known someone for twenty five years and it turns out not to be the case !
Anyway I'm sure I've got some more "interesting" times ahead over the next six months but I'm not very good at getting pi* sed off so onwards and upwards. I've been more into my cycling than my cars recently but will make the effort to finally attend a DDK event in my 911 this year !
Sam, I'll send you a pm re my Brabus Smart Roadster.
