Re: 1973 914 1.7 Tool Kit
Hi Margaret,
As far as I can see this is similar to a 911 kit with one or two differences. This is a picture of a 73 914 kit posted elsewhere,
Regards
Mike

Re: 1973 914 1.7 Tool Kit
Mike, I can't be sure, but I think that toolkit only relates to the 914/6. The 914/4 kit is very simple, from what I understand. According to my owner's manual, the toolkit components are listed simply as 'Wheel bolt wrench with breaker bar; Double-ended screwdriver; Towing eye'. It's available in repro form from Auto Atlanta, BTW.
Re: 1973 914 1.7 Tool Kit
I have a complete and correct 1973 tool kit in excellent condition - I also have a manual. I’ll take some pictures of the tool kit tomorrow. The 4 cylinder tool kit is very different from the 6 cylinder models. Paul

Re: 1973 914 1.7 Tool Kit
We actually got really lucky with that one a couple of years ago We first got to know the car through a TIPEC member, who had bought from ebay, unseen, in its original colour, Guards Red. He ended up completely restoring the body and rebuilt the engine. My Tom always admired it, even though he doesn't enjoy drivingBootsy wrote:Wonderful!

The TIPEC'r had the chance to swap the car for a car that he owned years back, a 993. Then a few weeks later, the Targa ended up at an auction house, where it didn"t sell and we ended up with the chance to buy it
Its a lovely car to drive and I do let Tom drive it from time to time
