I have a travel insurance and a cancellation insurance: both don't cover it!

A virus outbreak is not insurable (here in the Netherlands).

I've payed for the ferry and hotel beforehand and cannot cancel those anymore: both were booked 'not refundable'.

I checked my 3 day hotel booking yesterday and all were booked on the 'Non Cancelable' so that's a loss. as for the tickets themselves if the event was cancelled surely they have to refund or at least give you a credit against future events. Who knows about the Revival.

Plus it's MOT day for TGF 91L and its also Friday 13th :( :(

With increasing concerns around the recent coronavirus outbreak, we would like to update you with all the additional safety measures our event organisers are implementing, with the aim of making the event as safe as possible for everyone.

These precautions will include:

Hand sanitisers at each entrance point, information stands and within all catering areas
Additional hygiene advice signage
Treatment centres and isolation facilities

Over the event we also ask that we all adhere to a no handshake policy.

We’ll email you next week with all the information you’ll need ahead of your visit, including our map, timetable, what to wear guide and where to park. In the meantime, please visit our website and FAQs for more pre-event information.

As of this morning, mass gatherings (anything over 500 people) will be stopped from Next Weekend -21st March

Not sure whether that means a refund will be offered or they will reschedule?

From Goodwood's mouth this morning (EDIT: yesterday afternoon, in fact)...

Our events are currently planned to go ahead, but we will continue to monitor the situation and respond to Government and Public Health England advice. Should the recommendations change and we are in a position where we have to implement a postponement your ticket will remain valid for the new date. We will keep ticket buyers fully up-to-date with the situation.

If you have any questions about your specific circumstances please email ticket.office@goodwood.com

What if the Members Meeting is cancelled due to Corona?

- Will the tickets be refunded?
- Will it be cancelled or postponed?
- Isn't it curious that Goodwood doesn't keep us in the loop?
If a couple of tickets and an advance payment on a hotel currently are your only worries, then good for you! Other people worry about their health, their loved ones, their jobs or their businesses. But so far Goodwood seems still to be 'on', so nothing to worry about, right?

Of course there are more important things than a couple of tickets and hotel reservations; I get that!

I don't like what your implying here...

My girlfriend has Cystic Fibrosis and has been diagnosed in January with colon cancer, so I worry a lot and think the Corona Virus is an enormous threat.

Sorry to hear. Lots of worry out there at the moment - so many (all?) of us know someone in a vulnerable state. Best wishes and good luck.

I'm sorry to say, but I think that was one of the most unnecessary comments I've read on DDK. :(

I’m with Keith on this. Everyone is rightfully and understandably very sensitive at the moment, but on DDK hopefully we can rein in our sentiments appropriately. No doubt, being DDK, humour too will rear its head to lighten these dark times.
