£265k, £305k with buyers premium against an estimate of £300 - 500k for rhd development car 300474

https://cars.bonhams.com/auction/28309/ ... no-900421/

Image

a hefty premium over the £176k of 32k miles '65 301242

https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/wc23 ... pe/1397576

but shy of £346k brought by BaT Daytona '65 301709 in July

& finally a nice insight from Porsche Pictures Past on the 2nd owner of the new Porsche; profile from the 1967 edition of Swinging London. If anyone has a Delorean I'm well up for a Scotch & ginger at Sibylla's…

Did MMU actually sell?
Sorry if I've missed that, but no idea what the reserve may have been. Odd time to sell such a car?

I remember Martin as I bought some bits off him for the 914, and visited his house - he had a very cool car collection and was building a lovely Ghia for his wife.

It was down south somewhere IIRC, whereas that pic is taken about 3 miles from where I live now. Wonder how that came about

Yes but I was wondering what had happened to it in the intervening 13 yrs or so.

I realise that I incorrectly referred to it as 'Martin's '66 911S' but back when he owned it that's how it was usually described - I seem to remember it was amongst the first few hundred built in Aug '66 ...
