Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........
i was going to post that 65 car myself a couple of days ago but forgot. Seems a low estimate (40-50k) given where the prices were although the auction catalogue says car could be considered a resto project. Would look nice in the garage either way. Dont know enough about early cars to comment on it from a technical perspective other than as with many marques, early cars have that purity of shape that is lost to middle age spread in later life. E-type 3.8 and Healey 100 spring to mind.

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........
Ian (recently joined here) has put his ST recreation up for sale today
1971 911 ST
Please find listed for sale my fully restored, soon to be magazine featured 1971 911 ST.
This car has been subject to a £150k nut and bolt restoration and has covered only 300 miles since completion.
It has just been professionally detailed at a cost of £1000 before having period style race graphics applied.
The car started life as a 1971 911T, before undergoing a comprehensive transformation by XYZ specialist workshop into the ST car that you see here. The level of detail is superb both in the metal and paint work all the way through to the race prepared 2.8 Twin Spark race engine which produces 265bhp.
There were only 25 genuine ST cars ever made and they are between £700k to £1million pounds now, if you can even find one for sale. They were built on early 1971 - 1972 911T base cars and then the dealer would have fitted an ST kit to covert it.
FIA regulations stated larger rear wheel arches were allowed to be fitted for racing but Porsche didnt have a Fuchs wheel
