Tracker time.

It's that time of the year again, the clocks go back and the thieving scum crawl out from under their stones.
My car is stored as securely as possible but I am interested to hear of any recent advancements in tracker technology and any happy customers.
I posted here in 356 mainly because my car is 6 volt and wonder if anyone has a hard wired tracker that works successfully with a 6v supply. Maybe a battery powered system is the way to go ? I can see battery technology and longevity has come on in the last few years. Maybe a 12v system works quite happily with a 6v supply.
Understandable if you'd prefer not to discuss you security on a forum but any general advice would be welcome.
