Simon, the holder can fit either way just turn it over. LHD or RHD fits exactly the same.

Just a thought: looks like it may or may not clear the centre console in a later car, are you able to say please?

To be clear, it won't hold this.

Glad you asked the question. The holder fits the 993, but I will need to supply a longer allen cap screw, the ones I have are getting cut which allows the seat to move forward without fouling but with the 993 the rail is deeper so I will need to bear this in mind when supplying. Fits perfectly 8)

Thanks for having a look Tom, the 993 example helps - it does look ok to clear the SC type centre console too having looked at mine as well.
