Cheers Guys and aiming for Spring Feroz.............just not sure which year! :?

Mike, I've shared many messages with the owner of the ex-Reventlow car (each gets more and more interesting) and encouraged him to post detail, it is his story afterall and he's doing a fabulous job compiling the history and has been helped immensely by Richard Reventlow. Hopefully he'll come and say hi soon....to me this car is as important and interesting as many ST's out there, it may not have a competition history however it's far more original because of that and the period build history, parts and those behind it is second to none. 8)

Taking the car to Barry tomorrow!

And best for us that you do Darren. :)
Your projects are never 'light passes' and will be interesting I'm sure.
Still disappointed by the colour!

...the metal legend that is Mr Barry Carter :) .....

....I love working with Barry, his work is without doubt the single best value you can spend on your early car.....he's also such a nice fair guy to deal with and as skilled as they come.

If you have a rusty car (and you most probably do) then you need to seek this guy out. He's class 8)

I'm looking forward to the next few months and a perfect RS body :)

Car is progressing really quickly Darren and loving everything you have done to date. Its going to be awesome. Out of interest who is going to build the engine?

I would love to use Barry to sort out my sills/kidney bowls but did I not read somewhere that he only does bare shells?

....not at all Matt, Barry is happy to take on smaller jobs as well as full-on restorations. No surprises with Barry and as fair as they come, he really is great value and doesn't charge the earth! :thumbleft:

Actually a good time to catch him as a few commissions have been delayed for a short time......be quick!

....I will be sticking with what I've dubbed my Dream Team 8) ....

Barry Carter for the body......metal work genius par excellence..
Rich Deegan for paint......my good friend doing this one for me although sadly not for hire..
Mike Bainbridge for gearbox.....I actually need to ask him nicely first but hope he'll help. Love his work and love dealing with him, Mike is Legend..
Nick Fulljames for engine.....as great as anyone and knows how things tick. Nick's scaled back his Redtek engine business to move into vehicle storage for a better life balance but will still build the odd project..
Gary Cook for assembly and build.....the single most knowledgable early Porsche specialist I've ever met with an attention to detail that is second to none. Wonderful to deal with, fair and honest. Working with Gary is a blast and a real joy..

I'm really looking forward to this one and working with these guys....I hope it'll be the best yet :)

Cheers,
I’ve never noticed before Darren but those shots all show both front and rear wheels to not be centred in the arch, so your usual reference points (hub centre / arch centre) are off. That said, I am sure Barry has it covered.....

The shell looks awesome just as it is, like everyone else am really looking forward to this build

Cheers

I think a bare metal / lacquered finish would be awesome and show off Barry’s handiwork!
The force is strong in this one ......

Not sure Barry's ever seen a 911 with wheels on. Not to work on, anyway.
