Whats the easiest way to drop the box off. Is it to remove the droplink from the box or remove the two trackrods on the link? I can get a puller to the two trackrod ends but droplink seems less accesible

As you're a bit short on answers from people who know what they're taking about, here's the procedure from the only manual I have to hand.

1. Jack up car and remove left front wheel.
2. Press out ball studs at Pitman arm.
3. Open front hood and loosen cover of steering box.
4. Remove clamping screw at steering column.
5. Remove springclip at horn contact and pull out brush holder and brush.
6. Withdraw steering column from coupling.
7. Loosen screw on Pitman arm after opening lock plate and remove Pitman arm.
8. Remove mounting clamp.
9. Remove steering gear from front axel tubes.

Cheers.

That’s what I did and it was relatively easy.

i dont think the Pitman arm needs to be removed to get the box out, not the ZF type, anyway
