about to start resto on my 1966 912
as I don't know 912's, I'd like to get books with accurate info/photos suggestions please

I would start with the orange book also known as the workshop manual, available from amazon as a first step.
There is also the workshop manual available online from 912bbs links in the lone star section.
PET on the official Porsche website is also very good as a reference guide.
Then there is this forum to ask questions

Plenty of great threads here in the restoration section to trawl through.
