Audi hang up the fuel nozzle

So, the rumours have now been confirmed: Audi to pull out of LMP endurance racing, to concentrate on Formula E.

They may have been a bit too dominant in the sport for fans' liking, but wow still a real shame to see them leave.

I witnessed first hand all but 2 of their Le Mans victories, and all but 2 of their defeats there.
It's strange to imagine the series now without Dr Ullrich and his merry band.

Yes, a pity they are withdrawing, as there needs to be more than two serious contenders to keep LMP thriving
Cheers

At least Toyota are serious competition to Porsche!
They would have won at LM this year if it had not been for the wickedest stroke of fate on the final lap.
Oh, and they won at Fuji only 10 days ago...

Shame Nissan didn't work out, I admit. Maybe the Audi steamroller pulling out will encourage some others to step up again.

Yeah it might actually open it up for more people to come in
I do think the Porsche and Nissan response to the lemans result was a class act on both parts - top sportsmanship :)
