Hello all, I'm a 987 Boxster owner who decided to buy a 256 instead of a more expensive more modern Porsche. I love the former and it belonged to a dear friend, so will keep it and I'm a classic car person at heart. I have a Healey 3000 too.

My 356 is having its steering box rebuilt, it's radio overhauled, clock overhauled and a new inside is on its way from Lakewell.com , so lots of work but nothing fundamental.

What I was hoping is that other 356 owners lurking anywhere near me. My car is a 1964 C

There's a chap in the West Midlands just north of you with a freshly built Ivory 356 although he doesn't seem to drive his cars anywhere anymore!

Thanks Darren, I have a friend up the road with a 964 too. Forty years ago he had a 2.4L, he sold it and moaned like hell till he got the later car about a year ago. I like it.

Hi Ashley. That does indeed look like a nice 356 and welcome to DDK.

I'm about half an hour the other side of Bristol with my 356A. If you look in Future Events "Southwest Meet/Drive out" a few of us are planning a breakfast meet up at Haynes Motor Museum, followed by a drive to a big car meet at Thornfalcon near Taunton.

Thanks very much, I'd love to join you and will depending on a very ill wife and a five day steering box rebuild that's just passed the four week mark. That's the 356, the Boxster is fine and ready.
