Slightly Off Topic - Insurance Renewal Advice
Well its that time again and I'm after any recommendations on insurers who are happy to insure a non-running, non-mot'd 2.2s project (albeit a reasonably valuable one given recent price rises) and don't insist on a tracker. Would probably insure my (nearly running, hopefully) 993 project with the same.
All advice / thoughts very welcome.
Steve

Re: Slightly Off Topic - Insurance Renewal Advice
Just done with RH....was going to go with Classicline,,,but when I made some final corrections to the policy details, (the mods to the bodywork only) they upped the excess from 350 to 1000...!
RH very patient to get all done very quickly over the phone and courteous...and the excess only £250....

Re: Slightly Off Topic - Insurance Renewal Advice
After falling out very badly with Lancaster, I approached Hagerty. Excellent no nonsense quote, but it was conditional on their also insuring my everyday car. I don't have an everyday car....
So now I am with Lockton.

I've used classic line for several years now
I find their service excellent and their premium was less than Hegarty

I'm using RH for all 4 of mine, good price, no messing no tracker etc
Re: Slightly Off Topic - Insurance Renewal Advice
Went with RH for both Porsche's in the end, good quote and very easy / friendly to deal with.

Re: Slightly Off Topic - Insurance Renewal Advice
I think these threads always have merit, given choice and experiences, though hopefully none of us will have need to claim which is often when you really find out. Fwiw I remain with Hagerty. Although the premium has increased (as has tax of course) I find them sensible and pragmatic to deal with and I find their own value databank and research reassuring, as is the agreed value for my car which they agree to (with pics and a valuation cert) without quibble as its within scope of their total insured portfolio values.
