.....also a special thank you to Frank at Pendine Council, he had no issue with changing days at the last moment and went above and beyond the call of duty with our arranged meet time.

I must say that the urge to drive flat out along 7 miles of empty beach was hard to resist but figured this might ruin things in the future for others however when loading the car back onto the trailer I couldn't resist leaving my mark....

....I apologised to Frank as I left and said I hoped it wouldn't cause him any trouble....'no problem' was his reply 'you've given me 12 doughnuts so you're allowed at least one!' :)

Cheers,

Been a few months since I drove this car, so it's given me time to think... it's difficult to write this, because I like Darren - he really helped me out with the paint on my car - and I don't want to appear to be some sort of cocksucker.

But hey, here goes... This thing is, without doubt, the best car I've ever driven. It's wonderful, and outrageous, and electrifying. Total sensory overload. For me, it is the early 911 to end all discussion of how a hotrod early 911 should drive - the whole thing, literally, turned up to max volume.

To balance the opinion, I would have opted for a more low-key look. And I'm not keen on the black in the door shuts.

I actually paid for the paint with money.

But the polishing job...

Der-dum... TSCHHH.

.....man, you didn't even drive the car!

Strong words Jamie and much appreciated.

I only ever set out to build my ideal sports purpose 911 and pretty much followed recognised principles......obviously how the cars looks is always going to be a personal thing and no doubt it would have a appealed to more if I had gone wide but it's how I wanted it to be and I love it........

......as for drive, the combination of width, tyres, suspension, gearbox and engine has worked as well as I could ever have hoped and is very intoxicating. I'm having a lot of fun! :)

Thanks again.

Btw.....as much as I appreciate them, I'm not here fishing for compliments......I was just sharing a bunch of photographs which I think turned out well.

Photography and DDK are my hobbies and passion and I obviously love my cars and images of early Porsches.........I very rarely talk cars outside these pages and the people here and I'm grateful to DDK for allowing me to indulge :)

Cheers,
