Ap16 transmission and hello to the tractor forum.

Hello, giving the old girl a service after a few years sat outdoors. What is the normal 'bung' for the differential filler hole? Mine has a round cork bung! Can't imagine it left the factory like this? Also, is this hole a level and filler hole? There is a recess in the drive housing on the o/s around the circle of fixing bolts. Glad I changed the oils as there was a lot of water in both gearbox and diff.

Would be grateful for any guidance on parts suppliers too, only had the tractor a week.

Received the registration paperwork in post today, should be interesting reading!

Enjoy the bank holiday folks and get that tractor fired up!

Good work... I am sure it was an OEM cork.

Maybe not. Do you have front shot of the AP16? :)

Can you post a pic? Might be similar to some of ours in which case I can cross ref our parts and service system at work..

Hiya, there are pics of 'Betsy' from the front on the Tractor World Show thread. Still haven't got to the bottom of the cork bung! But as long as the oil level is ok there are no leaks so it doesn't bother me now.
Will look into it if she ever gets restored.
