Newbie and hopeful new owner

Hi all, I've been doing the rounds on a few forums recently and was pointed this way by a member on the 911 UK forum.

I live in Leigh On Sea in Essex own a 997 c2s and a 1967 Alfa Gt Jnr.

Having enjoyed the 997 ownership over the past 3yrs and after having acquired the Alfa and had great fun using that when weather permits I have decided I need to own an older 911.
I was initially thinking of buying one outright but based on my limited storage options and the Tax/Insurance/Depreciation of the 997 I am intending to buy a sound 911sc to use as my daily driver which for me means weekend use only (I also have the wifes car for family duties).
My plan which I would welcome thoughts on is to have the car re-finished as I wish, which ultimately means (And apologies if this sounds a bit naff but it's what I like) replicating the 911 from the scandi series The Bridge.....Olive Green (Jagre Grun?), Chrome window/headlight surrounds/Fuchs.
If I was buying for occasional use then a 912/911s 2.7 would also have appealed but given my intended semi regular use mean the practicalities of the 911sc is the best fit for me.....especially as storage means on the drive sheeted !

I look forward to any advice/info.

Cheers Robin

Also have a look at ImpactBumpers.com which is more focussed on the 74-89 models.

Thanks alastairp....if I could actually get some success in subscribing I would, I have spent the last week trying to do just that and have failed :-(
