For the 964 owner about town...

Post by theorangeperil »

I guess some will have seen this over on pistonheads - for the 964 man about town?
Better get those driving gloves out James...

It's certainly stirred up the trolls.

I gave it a go and yet again lasted less than 5 mins before wanting to smack my head with something weighty.

Cannot stand pistonheads.

Now, what's this about a video?

For all the 'pseudiness' (I just invented a word), I will say that a) you can't much fault the production, b) Frank is actually a really nice guy and c) his car is fantastic. Brave person who makes a film like that. Shame it's just a bit OTT for most Brits to cope with.

But I love his car... Shame I've missed the 964 boat, or I could have been tempted.

Yes, poor Frank. Pistonheads can be a foul place.. hope he can take positives from his new found infamy. He does have a rare talent for mangling a metaphor, no doubt.

His car is good example of how nice you can make a 964C4, with all the right suspension bits and a thoughtfully and extensively worked over motor by Nick Fulljames.

He really needs to do that Countach vs Testarossa video now! Or a joint GT3 vs 924 review with Harris Monkey… :-D

I think that the thing is with that video, it just would have been so much better, if he didn't speak. The filming is awesome, good music, much shorter and its a great ad for the company.

I doesn't have speakers on my work computer.

Seems pretty cool to me.

Pretty sure the star is comedian Seann Walsh wearing left4dead's clothes.

It is shot on location in London, mainly in East london for the graffiti laden backdrops perhaps?

Seems to be a perfectly charming chap.

The only reason for concern would be that rather obvious Prince Albert chain.

Always a danger you might catch it with the dogleg box.

It made my teeth itch watching it, I'm sure he's a lovely bloke but his style isn't for me, bit too try hard and pretentious. As mentioned he's a cross between Matt Berry and Swiss Tony trying to be the UK Magnus (IMHO)

Nice motor though
