Hi everyone. I have a dodgy ignition switch on my 1965 912 and need to replace it (I think) when you put the key in it turns and continues to turn until sometimes catching and turning the ignition on/starting the car. It's very temperamental. Looking into how to remove it am I right that the bolts are designed not to be removed (by anyone trying to steal the car) if so how do I take it out?

I've seem on pelican that you can grind them off or cut in a slot for a screwdriver? Is this the only way?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I drilled mine out on Sunday, center punch first, they drill out easy enough.

It's the under dash bit that's fiddly!!

switch itself is a five minute change over once removed.

shout if you get stuck
