Hello Everyone - another know-nothing Newbie here......
I love early 911s, and have had Porsche's on and off for years now, but recently decided on the hair-brained scheme of buying one or two from the states to grace my newly-built workshop. One or two turned into sixteen(!), and now I can't move for the bloody things......
So, a massive clear out is in order, and I thought here might be the place to try and start. I know the organisers of this site don't like things being advertised without prices but I'm hoping that I'll be allowed to just list the things that I've got, and ask if anyone is interested in coming to see me to discuss parting with some of it (I must emphasis that I don't want to get rid of everything - I just want a bit of space!!)
Here goes:
The cars are:
*all are LHD*
911T Coupe non-matching numbers, needs restoration, original colour Orange (recently listed on ebay - reached just under 10k, which was below my reserve)
911T Coupe Matching Numbers, Certificate of Origin, colour changed from Gold to White, 12 months MOT, Registered and Taxed, Excellent Condition
911E Coupe 1971 (this is currently on an ebay listing)
911E Coupe 1971 Matching Numbers, 2.2 MFI Engine, Certificate of Origin, original colour was Burgundy - needs restoration
911E Coupe 1970 Matching Numbers, 2.2 MFI Engine, Certificate of Origin, original colour Tangerine, needs restoration
911E Coupe 1971 Matching Numbers 2.2 on Carbs, Certificate of Origin, White, presented as an RS Replica - excellent condition, full tax and MOT, registered.
911E Targa 1972 (non-matching numbers) This car has a 1972 2.4 911T Engine fitted on carbs, coming to the end of full restoration so will be immaculate
911E Targa 1972 Matching Numbers 2.4 Engine. This engine has been converted to 2.7 RS Spec (Nikasil Barrels, re-calibrated pump, etc). Condition of the car is very good.
911E Targa 1971 - pretty rotten but purchased for the fact that it has a 1965 2.0 Engine fitted (901/01 casings)
911 SWB 1966 Stripped shell in excellent order, but has been fitted with later style rear wings (and longer trailing arms to change to LWB, but the originals are with it) and later front wings. This car was going to used with the 1965 901/01 2.0 engine to make an FIA Papered race car. This car came with two 2.0 engines itself, although one is partially stripped, and the other completely stripped.
911E 1971 Coupe No Engine. This car needs wings (turbo arch conversion done at some time) and removal of an after-market glass sunroof, plus general restoration
911T Targa 1971. No Engine This car has a hideous Miami Vice style body conversion on it (slant nose, etc) but is actually a very sound shell
912 1969 Needs full restoration
1972 911T MFI Engine complete (out of car so no idea of running condition)
915 Gearbox
3 Full Sets Genuine 7 & 8 x15 Fuchs (for RS) - Perfect condition
Plus numerous other bits and pieces…….
As you can see, my hobby has got out of control……..HELP!
