I haven’t seen the 964 no, but this interior is certainly different. It’s very green with some carbon fibre bits. Not sure if they are original or not, will go through the option codes. Prepare your eyes Image

Had to wait until Sarah went to work so I could take over the kitchen table and lay down some go-faster stripes. Worth an extra 10mph at least!

Interesting, thanks James.

Right now the LHad reflectors want the lights to go one way and the RHD the other.
After turning the 911 into a daily night driver and having a fiddle with them as I went it's pretty good but I know it can be better (which is the bit that's irking me).

On the rear lights these are the LEDs from Classic Car LEDs. Folks should definitely be able to see you...Image

Hi All
This month I have mostly spent money…

997
New Bilstein B4/Eibach sport springs and dampers all round
New disks/pads all round
Replacement flexible brake pipes plus a new front calliper due to damaged by OPC (just don’t!)
Plugs & coil packs
Replace cam senser
Fix driver’s side window mech.
Yearly service
Tax
Insurance
And an MOT…

550 ‘Rep’
Re-upholster seats
Tax.

Big ‘Thanks’ to Ninemister for all their work (as always).
Must make some time to drive both cars rather than just spend money on them…

All the best
Ian F.

On impulse I bought a ticket to take the 911T up the hill at the Hagerty Shelsley Walsh ‘Run what you Brung’ meeting at the end of May.

My next bright idea then was to try and book a day at the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb school beforehand, in April or May… But they’re all booked up. Doh!

Popular sport - as you regular climbers know.

Ah well. The ‘run what you brung’ session could be entertaining then. They should sell spectator tickets.

Oh wait a minute. They have..

Really like the look you have created Keith.

Ref Hill climb schools:
Loton Park close to Welshpool are full for 2023. We take 30 drivers max each of the 3 days. First 2 days were all taken by start of January.

Always chase a waiting list!
It is surprising how many cry off a week before the days.

Thanks Graham and Clive. Probably will do that. I’ve got myself on the Shelsley Walsh wait list too. I particularly wanted to begin to learn that hill so I didn’t make a complete arse of myself at the Run what you Brung event.

I am sure you will be fine Jeremy if you don’t get in to a test day. Walk it first to familiarise yourself with the driver’s eye view. The first two corners are tricky if attempting a record, but for a driver’s day your experience will be enough to tell you when to lift or dab the brakes. At the top just focus on your line through the Esse, and be prepared to go ‘Doh’ in your helmet as you lift on the 1 in 7 gradient and get back on the power! Lifting off is like throwing out a parachute.

The sleepers are there to scare you - ignore them and focus on your lines and braking points. And enjoy it, it is huge fun (if not my favourite hill, the venue makes up for it). Oh, and take a camera for the view from the top- it’s magnificent

All the best
Wayne

That’s brilliant advice - thanks so much Wayne. Rest assured I’m not attempting any records - except for maybe the slowest Porsche ever up the hill.
