Got the race car off the stands for the first time in 6 months - 3 days short of the season opener at Anglesey. It is easy to see why I struggle to get it on and off the trailer and keep cracking under trays….

Let me find out - Historit at Bicester Heritage tested them for me.

In the meantime this one has a similar display:

Stunning. Looks like Signal Orange there.
1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

Thanks Rob. It can also look almost like Bahia Red too in different light! Image

Yesterday I went to the beach and I filled the tank before and after and when I worked out the mpg it was only about 15 which is about what my 911E did.
I was a bit concerned at this I thought it should be better than that. So I started crawling underneath looking for leaks. I didn't find any.
It was only later that I had one of those wonder if moments and looked at the receipt and I realised that I had used the cost rather than the litres and it was actually a more reasonable 26mpg.
Really I was only doing this to see if I can rely on the fuel gauge which I should have believed as it was right.

Never had one with this tank :) I fitted the big tank many years back and never got around to buying a collapsible spare.
Can of ‘fix a flat’ and a pump is the plan now. :)

I have a few Boxster spare wheels (the super narrow ones) if you want one Gary

Run up the road (the first for 6 months sadly) and then dropped the oil ready for a little project which I will cover in my resto thread
