Loosely connected but there in spirit... Prepped a 356 doghouse cooler for fitting onto the oldspeed 40 horse in the Landwagen. Today i'll be servicing the 440 in the Winnebago support shed. Anything to be out in the sun at last!

Didn't touch the car, spent time looking for a new garage/space for it, got to move out of my current 'cave'!

Did go and see a mate and put the pedal box in his RSR for him....

Got to rush now, have a Ferrari 430 for the afternoon!

No seriously I thought I would take this a step further and DEVALUE my car. Just about to get the sander out and scuff up Darren's superb paint, put some scruffy old suitcases and slam it in da weeds.

Not really - even more stupid - thinking of a ski trip to the alps in it with my son.

My car lives in a farmer's barn at the moment (next to a 356 and a VW beetle with London to Cape Town rally plates - who they belong to I do not know) but will be arriving back soon. In preparation I have been given my own 'car' shed at new house (woo hoo !!). Spending the weekend getting it set up and fetching all my parts from the lock up where they have been stored.

Ian.

Went to change the wheels/tyres over on the 911E from everyday to grippy in preparation for GRRC Autosolo at Goodwood House next Sunday. However spotted that the grippy Avon CR6ZZs had hardly any tread left after last 2 years campaigning , so had to leave the aged and brittle P6000's on perfect anodised Fuchs in place - more show than go.....
Oh well , so got the E out in the London sun and made my way out to M4 Heston services for a drop of petrol , then crawled back in the Twickenham bound traffic to the lockup.....was in company with a very nice Lancia Fulvia Zagato for part of the time , from the rear those cars look like they are on stilts with the skinny tyres they run....both of us were popping and banging in the crawl along the Hammersmith flyover. Great to feel that skinny steering wheel again :)

Not had mine out since November, so with the help of some jump leads, it started first turn of the key. I do have a battery conditioner, but hadn't used it, as it wasn't my intention to leave it so long. Went for a run out in the sun shine, brilliant, ran like a dream. The main run of the year is booked, our holiday on Lake Garda. roll on June/July.
