Small update - I now have confirmation that there is a problem with the server.
It's an intermittent problem so you may get good service and then it will degrade to a slower service later.
It does seem to be getting progressively faster this morning at long last.
Please bear with me - I just got this update from the hosts
"I can confirm that this issue is intermittent and our engineers are aware of this issue and are working on getting this resolved as soon as possible."
