I don't think that "end of" really finishes things off that well. I think gratuitous use of the word "period" is required.

As in:
End of. Period.

I can see that one day, a couple of years from now, we'll look back and laugh at how we thought this thread wouldn't last to the end of page six.

The reference to Stonehenge has put me on the back foot ...but no doubt all will become clear.
