Hi Richard83Richard83 wrote:Hi folks,
Nice first post.
Are you Ciaran's pal?
If so you might want to rephrase this bit :
To something like :from my experience he would never do anybody a bad turn as like any good businessman he knows its a small world and word spreads.
Unless you're not his pal, you're his ex-wife and are deliberately suggesting the only reason he doesn't rip people off is because he might get found out.from my experience he would never do anybody a bad turn as he cares about treating people fairly and being honest

Hi Sam,
Apologies if you felt my post was ambiguous. I hadn't expected cross-examination. I am not a 'pal' of Ciaran Woods. As I mentioned I've bought regularly from him over the years and have a large number of Paypal receipts which I can make available to the moderators, if required, to ensure that this is kept fact based instead of speculative. I stated that I have found him great to deal with because I always have. I buy from him over a guy scrapping a project because I know Ciaran runs a reputable company with which I have comeback. That to me, makes him a good businessman and I will not be drawn in to speculation as to what his motives were for treating me well as there is no way of knowing.

Re: Ripped off, what to do?
You were the one who speculated about his motivation, not me.
I speculated about you being his pal and/or ex-wife.
I don't really think you're either, of course, I'm just being deliberately annoying. Please don't take it personally, if you ever tune back in to DDK in the future you'll see I'm always like it.
Anyway, my point was that your post was probably intended to be supportive, but actually applied a business character to Ciaran that many people would consider to be negative. I'm sure you didn't mean it that way.

No hassle. Thanks Sam. I see you've a 914. I came very close to buying a project one before but it didnt have the original type of engine so I passed. Will definitely try again sometime. I love the shape of them.
