Painted lady

Post by Ghawke67 »

Hello All,
Well my car is now in paint and as I'm sure those who have done a resto ( even if you hadn't planned it)
will know it's a great feeling, there is a way to go but I feel enthusiastic again so I thought I would post a couple of pics. She has been stripped bare and had a lot of fabrication but fingers crossed the worst of the pain is over.

Fantastic colour, and to think you were thinking of selling earlier on in the resto.
Would you be able to tell me who painted the car?

The car went down to Evilben's in cornwall, I used to live there and also I read keith's project car in classic porsche and thought I would speak to ben, then it went two workshops up to Anthony of Autostyl, now it is going back to Ben's to have the refit started, new brake lines, fuel lines, stripped and powder coated suspension parts, etc.
plus the other million jobs that will turn up, as soon as the wheels are on she will be coming back up for me to carry on.

Looks the business, very cool. 8-)

Evil Ben is the man. It must've been your car I saw down there when I visited earlier in the year (the pearl white '62 VW Notchback he has in there is mine).

Vic,
I have to agree, Ben has been fantastic and the work he does is top quality, it's no wonder he has won some quite prestigious awards.
I will take a good look at yours when next down.

Cheers

Gary
