912/356 Solex inlet manifolds and bits

Post by 100702mark »

I am currently running webbers and K and N filters on my 67 912. One of my projects for this winter is to get it converted back on to solex carbs from an originality perspective and so I am just trying to source the parts I will need. Ive got the carbs and cans and the plates and gaskets that fix these together. I think I therefore need the following -
Inlet manifolds x 2
Hoses and t pieces etc that exit the cans and then meet at the fan housing etc.
New elements for the cans.
Can anyone think of anything else?

If anyone has any of these bits knocking around please let me know what you have and the cost.

Many thanks

Mark

My car had webers, but had the solex manifolds on with adaptors so the webers would fit - has yours not got the originals on still - might be worth a check?

The adaptor plates are normally fairly chunky things so shouldn't be hard to miss.

here's one example of them:

Thanks Stuart that was a good piece of advice, I do have adaptors on so don't need inlet manifolds.

so I think I am just looking for -
1) hoses from cans to t piece on fan housing
2) t piece
3) hose from t piece to chassis member
4) air filter elements

If anyone can help me please let me know.

Thanks

Hi Mark,

We have all of these 912 parts on the shelf - If you drop me a line or send an email with the final list of parts needed, I'll organise some prices for you.

Regards,

Max
