aluminium fuel tank manufacturer ????

Post by stevesprite »

Ive got a bit of a road trip planned for the summer, and have been thinking about having a larger fuel tank for a while now.

I am inspired by the tank that Rich has made, but am thinking of having one made out of ally.

Do any of you guys have aluminium tanks in your speedsters? Does anyone know of a manufacturer of aluminium tanks, or have any plans/diagrams of tanks that you have ???

Any help would be great,

Steve,

These guys made my aluminium tank for me, to my spec, back in 2006.

I wanted mine to sit above the standard cutout to make room below for swirl pot and webasto.

Probably shape mine a bit more like Rich's if I did it again... but can send you a drawing of what I had made if you PM me your email address.

Gosh, there's some wonderful projects illustrated on that website. Nice to see quality work like that (in the UK too). :salute:
