I know for a fact that I should be in two of your snaps on the previous page. However my

Great photos Mr Mitchell. This one is superb. I like the bold yellow stripe splitting the composition and the symmetry of the two cars.Mitch wrote:

Thanks Paul, very kind. Now I just have to learn how to deal with exposure correctlyFerry Man wrote:Great photos Mr Mitchell. This one is superb. I like the bold yellow stripe splitting the composition and the symmetry of the two cars.

Hi Nigel, really good to see how you're enjoying the camera now, great pictures!
Let the camera do the work, auto's a wonderful thing, but are there any particular
exposure issues you are having?

I knewwww it !! Silver cameras are brilliant.Ferry Man wrote:I checked the Exif data Mike and it appears I used a Leica M9-P (a silver one) with a 50mm Summilux. It was exposed at ISO 800, 1/60th sec, f1.4.mycar wrote:what camera and lens did you use to take this shot Paul ?
I liked that shot too.
We had spent the whole of Saturday at the circuit and left to return to the Chateau and thence onward to a superb meal at a local restaurant.
The dish of the evening was the house special 'Marmite' (mar-meet), a lovely casserole of rabbit in a stock pot.
It took considerable resolve to stay sober and drive back to the track for a further session at night.
And yet those hours of darkness yielded the best photos and the most enjoyable time of the whole weekend.
It's a fabulous event. I'd urge you not to miss it next time.
I agree, watching the racing at night is my enduring memory of Le Mans, although pointing a little camera at the cars as they wizzed round Arnage in the dark, produced no memorable results.
Regards, Mike.
