Jacking up the back?

I really need to raise the rear half inch or so as its bottoming out - anyone done this?

Can it be done with normal tools easily?

When you say bottoming out what do you mean exactly?? Suspension bottoming or tyre rub as you mentioned in another post?? What size three you using??

tyres rubbing on the body - Gary cut off the rubber stops as it was running on those apparently. I understand the rear torsion beam can be wound up a little?

Yes.

Take it out, turn it a spline, put it back in.

Lower the car off the stands, realise you've turned it the wrong way, take it out again, turn it two splines in the other direction.

That's how it went on my Bus anyhow. :)

It's covered in various VW books and no doubt on line if you google it.
