DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

Whos going to which events in 2012 then? Had a look on the events page but nothing specific jumped out.

I guess the usual suspects are:


Stoneleigh Kit Car Show 6/7 May (always busy with reps and also attended by the Speedster Owners club)

Stonor Park VW Expo 3 June (Speedster Club attend)

Castle Coombe Classic and Action day 11 June (I believe this is the one the the Speedster Owners club attend)

Donnighton Kit Car Show 1/2 Sept

What else is worth a visit? Are we DDK'ers going to get a couple in with the Speedster owners? Guessing most speedster owners are club members anyway?

I'm up for a speedster meet before Stoneleigh as May is a long way off, if anyone's up for it???

Le mans classic? Always a good turnout from the speedster club there too

Stanford Hall VW Show first sunday of May (Probably clashes with the kit car show @ stoneleigh)

VW Northwest @ Tatton Park in August

^ For me those two are standard yearly events cos I can't imagine life without them. Mainly VW shows, but the link bewteen VW's and Speedster reps is almost as strong as VW's and VW's.

Wonder if there will be enough speedsters to ask for a club stand @ Stanford Hall, i dont remember seeing one there before. I know the organisers, could ask for a plot of say 5 to 6 cars if there is enough interest.

could do kit car show one day and stanford the other!

I got a 550 Spyder in Oct. It is now in bits and getting expensive but EPIC

I will be doing a few shows hopefully. Stonleigh definate, Le Mans Classic booked. Thought I might take my boy to the TIPEC show in may too, great family venue, and free.

Will do Dub Freeze in my Family Wagon.

Hope to meet some of you guyd there. I will have a DDK sticker in the windscreen, come and say hi.

Dubfreeze is at Stafford next sunday 19th February 2012. Free entry into grounds and carpark. £10 each into show, kids free. Overnight camping on saturday night is only a fiver.

Rich you could try ringing dubfreeze & asking! but it seems quite stricked .I done it late about 10 days ago & just got in,there is only 13 places ,also am gonna have to start out on sunday about 6am ! to get there in time opens at 7.30 & gotta get in before 8.30

Olly does that mean i have got to pay a tenner now to come in the show to see your car? i was going to just wander round the car park!

not me - no car yet, although it sounds like Gary has nearly finished Kev so I think my first show will be the VW one at Sandown next month.
