Attaching badges and trim

What's the best way of attaching badges and trim?

I'm just doing this now...using a mixture of adhesive, fibre glass resin or sticky 3m tape as appropriate.
Dont forget if you drill holes ahead of painting, you'll have to redrill the holes to clear the paint....especially if your car receives 57 litres of paint like mine apprarantly has lol...

Thats right Ger, all the badges etc are designed for the metal bodied cars so dont get buying all the fixings for the back of the scripts. Will be a waste of money.
Talked to a few people at the shows and they use a manor of things ie; super glue double sided tape etc. They even suggest cutting a few of the pins of the back of the scripts to make it easier to fit. I just measured the thickness of the pins, made a template and drilled the holes the same size so nice and snug push fit. Make sure the pins are straight as the may need a little helping hand with some pliers. The Porsche rear script is a bit of a bitch as the rear is curved which changes the angle of the pins. Works fine if its a metal body but going through 1/4 fibreglass some of the holes need elongaiting. The Porsche front script is worse than the rear as the curvature of the nose is more than the rear. I left the front script of for the time being untill l find a alternative way of fixing... Ideas welcome apart from already mentioned...
Dont buy the cheap scripts either. Been there done it and failed, still have the broken scripts that snaped and to be honest they look like indian gold if you know what l mean. Ended up buying mine from Rogerbrays, really good quality, meaning straight and matching colours.
As for the alloy strip that runs down the side waist height, the oringinal have small bolts were as the repro have small plastic push fit clips the same as the Vw Beetle used. The alloy strip that runs along the sill also uses nut and bolts to fix.

for the front badge i drilled the holes slightly inwards - if you get what I mean. This is because you need to gently bend the edge in towards the bodywork around the nose.
Paint hasnt cracked off but remains to be see what it looks like next year...I superglued this one - and the rear badge. My rear badge is the shorter
