As I am a fair way through the build at this point and have spent a considerable sum of money to date, I'd like to insurance it - does any firm offer a 'build to road' insurance scheme?

Paul something l was going to look into when building mine. Just never got round to it, so can't point you in any direction. But better to be safe though. Would be intrested how they would value your car as a part build?? And how much it would cost??

Just taken a build to road plan with Hagarty (thanks Del) £81 insures theft, fire (useful as my wiring might be a bit ropey!) and accidental damage.

So when I get frustrated and kick the crap out of it, then torch it in a raging fit, I'll be covered lol

Sounds like a normal 'laid up' policy I had with Hagerty cover damage to parts, theft and fire. That was about £80.

yep thats it - it can be upgraded to a proper plan once registered.

Most were just fire and theft plan if in garage thats locked. This at least added accidental damage. Handy for build mistakes :tool:
