My Speedster is just out of the paintshop. Here it is together with a couple of pictures of earlier steps along the journey! I'm hoping to have it on the road in Spring 2014. This is a Speedster Clinic replica.

Re: Show your speedster
Here's a bit more indeed:
http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewto ... 17&t=45842
And the complete build can be viewed here:
http://spyderclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=1 ... &start=150
(I know it's a different forum, but then I hadn't heard of this forum yet!)
Some stats:
Engine: Riechert type 4 (horizontal cooling with original 901 fan)
capacity: 1.800cc (AT engine, with engine# AT0000778):
Specs: 316' Engle cam, Mahle cylinders and pistons, 45mm double Weber carburators, 45mm CSP Python exhaust.
The engine runs perfectly:
Weight of the car: 660 kg
More questions? I'll be happy to answer them...

Re: Show your speedster
Congrats on your build firstly, super cool car.
Who's body is that? Just out of interest. What tyres are you using front and back?

Re: Show your speedster
The body is a custom made one by VPS (Vaandrager Performance Speedsters), a small Dutch company dat doesn't exist anymore (see http://www.vaandrager-performance.nl), c.q. doesn't produce Speedster(body)s anymore...
He made a mold/cast of an original 57 Speedster and made appr. 20 bodies with that mold/cast. Mine is one of the last bodies he has made and he made -according to my wishes- some changes to the body and subframe (that's appr. 5 kg lighter than the regular subrame).
Furthermore parts of the body of my car are not Fiberglass but Kevlar reinforced.
I've used Vredestein 165/15 Classic Sprint on the front and the rear...
