Hi,
We fitted a new headliner into a customers car today and thought a few pics would be useful to show the visual difference between a black and white headliner.
Before:
Stripped
Being fitted
Detail pic, on this car we also re-trimmed the B posts as it was previously done badly.
all done and back together:

Nice work.
I don't understand why folks like black headliners. White for me, every time. Much better.
Skies are blue, grass is green and headliners should be white.

Agree. My 911 has a white roof liner painted black.. Restored the car with an 'old english' white liner and it is so much better.
Quite easy to fit too but my car also got a Tudor Wabasto sunroof. (long story that).

Hi Bas,
If it helps just give me a call. Use a good contact adhesive, we use a trade product and buy it in 5 ltr tins. Many people use bull dog clips to help hold the headliner, we have not used them and use the glue to do its job.
Getting the rear corners to look good is the hard part, but take your time and you should be fine.
Good luck

Each to their own I suppose but White headliner with black interior just looks wrong, wrong and wrong to me
nice fit though

renewing the felt on the front edge the headliner panel is a good move so you don't get those indents where the clips are !
what's the seam along the back for ? did you have to join the headliner where the sunroof motor access zip should be???
certainly lifts the interior of the car though

Was a black head liner an option on pre '74 cars or were they always white?
Cheers
