Ferry stuff....... (for the disorganised voyager)

Hey folks,
Being the legend of organisation that I'm not it appears that I have yet to book a ferry, tunnel, or winged monkeys to carry the car over the Channel.....
And having by the skin of my teeth avoided travelling to APAC for work was wondering in terms of traveling on the Thursday what the mass crossing consensus looked like for a reasonable time from Folkstone / Calais or Portsmouth / Caen.
Strangely Aferry.com is showing plenty of options.......(best double check I inputed the the right dates!)
Cheers

I remember finding that LD lines offered a more reasonable priced crossing for the later booking. I've bumped the threads back to the top to be easier to find.
Tip : Book a cabin for the route out, but not necessary for the return.
Cheers

Route: Dover to Boulogne
Departing: Thu 08 July 2010 at 0700
Arriving: Thu 08 July 2010 at 0945

I have a ferry booked for car + 2 on the Portsmouth-Caen crossing :
outward on Wed 7th @ 22.45 with a cabin
return on Mon 12th @ 16.30 with 2 reclining seats
But am now not able to go.
However, I don't know whether these are transferable

Dirk - pm's stay in the outbox until they're read by the recipient.
I sold my camping pass/entry/grandstand tickets at the beginning of last week.
I do have the ferry booking mentioned in my earlier post available at half price if anyone is interested (& it can be tranferred).

Andy,
Thanks for explaining that - I was a bit confused! If any camping passes come up I will be in touch.

Okey dokey, - somehow I have been roped into a trip to bloomin' Romania next Tuesday, returning Wednesday evening which kind of helps.
So 23hr if the offer is still open I'll be joining you on that 7.00 from Dover and then from memory from 2006 if you time it right on the return you can get to watch the final on the ferry so will hit the 6.30 from Le Havre to Portsmouth on the way back.
Cheers
