2nd Goodwood B'fast Club this Sunday

Post by left4dead »

For anyone who is up and about and wanting a run out and is willing to miss the Malaysian GP live at 0800 there's always the second GBC of the season.

This weeks theme is 'Sporting Family Favourites' - whatever that means - but don't let that put you off

Any takers for meeting at Petworth at 07:30/08:00 :?:

Oh, if it's raining (or snowing!) I'll be at home watching the F1 in a vain hope it will be as exciting as last weekend's...

Hi Steve - I'm in last few weeks of training for London Marathon (Sun 25th April) so I'll be doing a 20-mile run instead! Although if last weekends run is anything to go by I'll be doing a 14 mile run, and a 6-mile limp/ crawl...

I'm looking forward to getting down there for the May one though. I've just re-taxed the car this morning so ready to rock and roll I hope!

Hi Steve,

Won't be attending this one unfortunately, car is being MOT'd/serviced etc. at the moment, but hopefully will make the next one!

Like you say, hopefully less snow this time! Though there was the weirdest hail/snow storm at about 2am this morning in T. Wells, so anything can happen!

Cheers,

Hope to be there in the ST rally car, needing to put some running in miles on it before a full on dyno run on Tuesday.

Hi Simon & Adam,

Simon, you're a trooper and I've nothing but admiration - best of luck with that! :)

Adam,

Here's a reminder of a snowy meet very almost two years ago (probably the most memorable so far):

See you both at the next one (02nd May, Bank Holiday weekend - 'Everything But the Car') 8)

Thanks Steve - fingers crossed it won't rain too much on Sunday for any of us.

Also - I must see your E-Type soon. Will you be taking it to GBC at any point?

Hi Everybody
where abouts in Petworth is the rendezvous point, this will be my first trip out since getting back from the UAE, so I'd hate to miss all the fun, I may even brave the rain!

all the best

Hi Ian, all the roads into Petworth seem to lead into the old market square where there's room to park up, watch the classics roll through whilst awaiting stragglers i.e., me!

The theme for this week end is "Sporting Family Favourites; Four seater fun!". Now Vic Elford was entered in the 1967 British Saloon Car Championship, winning Class C, 1300-2000 cc, so that is our cue to get into the themed parking. Brother Peter will be bringing a period magazine as proof! I will be at Petworth at 0730h
