912 Fuel filler catch

Hi

I'm just finishing my 912 restoration which I started soon after the end of the Boar War and find that I seem to have lost the mechanism that catches the filler flap on the NS wing. I've not been able to find any description or pictures of exactly what I'm missing other than it must be activated by the short cable that is located on the left side of the dash. Can anyone help me by describing what it consists of and also where I may obtain the necessary parts?

Should still be able to get the bits from your local dealer. They are the same on later cars.

Hi Dave,

I am not 100% sure but I think I have a NOS part for what you need. By this I mean the lever that catches on to the fuel flap. This part then bolts to the wing. If this is the bit you need let me know and you are welcome to it (once I find it) just give something to our DDK charity no charge.
