Hi Richard - would have been lovely to see both you and Jane - what were you in? I remember seeing a red 997 but not a red 993

Hi Brendan :hello1:

Great to hear from you - how's the engine coming on?

Drop me a pm and let me know life's been looking after you :-)

The RS is now definitely out and about - even after a few problems, it was still a wonderful journey and a real adventure. Now - where next :?:

P

btw: why is your avatar missing and currently being used by Herr Ruddy???

Shame it's not the car with the original colour. I believe only 1 RHD RS in 6868 (aka Jade Green). With 2 RHD in Emerald Green (aka Viper) one of only 3 in green in total.

Is this what an original looks like? Are the words "Germany ... Import D'Allamande" on the brown top under Bosch the giveaway or do the Brazillion models also have that?

That looks like an original (Porsche fitment) Bosch black coil.

There were, however, quite a few cars other than Porsche that used various versions of the Bosch black coil so when looking for a replacement coil for an early 911 you need to make sure that you get one with the correct part number (0 221 121 001) stamped on the bottom:
